Manjaro
wellywu:
I have a Plex.Tv account and I pay for Plex Pass monthly for $5.32 USD including New Jersey sales tax. I downloaded, installed, signed in, and created two separate Plex media servers for both Manjaro 20.1 64-bit "Mikah" and Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit Pro edition version 1909 as of the current September 2020 Microsoft Patch Tuesdays security updates successfully. I configured the Ubuntu Uncomplicated Firewall to allow the required network port 32400 via TCP as well as a custom network port forwarding rule to mirror to the one established by Plex.Tv within Manjaro, my Verizon FiOS Advanced Gateway router, AirVPN via their Eddie-UI desktop client, and Perfect-Privacy VPN via their VPN Manager. I have no problems accessing my Plex media servers on Manjaro or Windows 10 at home or when I travel to my friends' apartments in Nutley, New Jersey. I can access my audio, music, videos, and pictures and stream my premium content within my private media library at home or when I travel to friends' apartments remotely. Everything just works with my Macbook Pro and HP Omen 15t laptops at home or at a friend's apartment. No problems!

I also use Manjaro.
I bought JRiver Media Center 24 several years ago.
I'll never buy a new version until there's an AppImage.
The AUR package is not a bad way to install this application but it's far from perfect.
Awesome Donkey:
Considering Media Center only officially supports Debian, I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.
IMO, the AUR PKGBUILD works just fine.
josete:
You're right. It works fine, but ...
PKGBUILD is good ONLY for Linux distributions based on Arch.
APPIMAGE is good for EVERY distribution there is.
This format is distro-agnostic, and using it, JRiver could forget about all the problems related to compatibility in Linux and its hundreds of distributions.
Awesome Donkey:
Like I said, JRiver only builds Media Center for Debian and only officially supports Debian, it working on any other distro is a unsupported bonus which you're basically on your own for.
So, I wouldn't expect them to support AppImage, Snap, Flatpak, etc. It's been brought up before and I believe Bob has looked into it, but certain limitations is what prevented it from happening. So again, wouldn't hold my breath.
