OSD Position
« on: September 19, 2020, 07:53:45 am »

Hello,

i use JRiver RedOctober with madvr on a a projector and a masked screen (only the picture is on screen, rest is masked with black molton).
The quality is very good. Thanks.

So now the problem:
The OSD is often out of picture in the masked area -> so i cannot see it.

Is there a possibility to move the OSD upwards?

Thanks.

Not so easy ... as this will screw up setup for ppl who dont use masking

Not sure if it works ... but did you try setting up custom resolution so screen output matches non-mask area ... then use madvr to crop black bars

Edit: expensive solution will be anamorphic lense ... but it has its advantages ... you gain extra brightness

i meant not as a fix movement for everyone, just an option in the settings (like move OSD into the picture, or just move OSD upwards 200 pixels...).
