Playing now out of control.
« on: November 26, 2020, 01:49:45 pm »

Hello there helpful folk.

In short - 'The Later Years' of Pink Floyd has 46 tracks in my folder, and yet JRiver manages somehow to populate 'Playing now' with 92 tracks? Please note that there are no previous tracks from previous sessions.
I usually play by right-clicking and choosing an option from the menu 'Play in Media Centre'.

Thanks for your help in advance.

If Marko's post doesn't put you on the right track, a screenshot of what you're clicking on before it goes into Playing Now would be helpful.

Thanks for replying.
Steps:
1. Right-click folder (album) containing tracks
2. Select from the menu 'Play in Media Center' (General -> Enable Shell Integration = ON)

That's pretty much it.

I see some duplicates but also irrelevant titles as well - as if JRiver populates the names of tracks from some external database.

Thanks

Here is development - it is now correctly displaying the titles. I have experimented with settings and switched off a bunch of them related to fetching lyrics, cover arts, updating tags, etc. Basically, everything that is related to any kind of control over the Files and metadata. Bad JRiver.
