Move/ Copy fields

(1/2) > >>

In another thread  - Numbers in Genre Fields - I told that for some time now some fields tagged with Metadatics lead to some empty fields in MC.
I found the solution: the "Work" field in Metadatics was previously "grouping" in MC and now also "Work" in MC.
So I use the Move/ copy feature in MC the move the Data from the "grouping" field to the "work" field. As already written in the other thread my collection is huge - 253320 audio files (5,8 TB).
I suggested that it will need some time for the operation but didn't expect what happened: it's working for 14 hours up now to and more than 87000 files still are on the "copy" move.

OK, now the task is fulfilled - after 1 day and 7 hours.

Amazing. I have about 10% of your number and any copy/move fields is instant for me.

The funny thing - ghosts seem to be haunting my Mac - is that after the copy/ move action all works in Metadatics appear in the grouping field again.

Weird. Must be how Metadatics reads the metadata. I have a Movement field and a Composition field in all my classical music in MC but Metadatics is unable to interpret them correctly. I don't know if one can tell Metadatics how it should read the Metadata from a file but my guess is the Movement and Work tags I created in MC are not even stored in the media file but only in the Database. Might be a good idea to find out exactly what tags in an .mp3, m4a or .flac file go into what field in Metadatics
