Playing m4v / mp4 from JR to Sony BD player

Trying to use JRiver to play m4v or mp4 video files through my Sony UBP-X800M2 blu-ray player.

I've managed to get MC and the Sony to recognise each other, but the Sony is saying that the files are corrupted or unsupported.

It must be the latter since JRiver plays the files perfectly.

I've been through the wiki and can't see what I can do to troubleshoot or fix this.

BTW it is OK with playing audio files (FLAC but seems to convert them to MP3, according to the TV display)

Check the  conversion setting on the server.  Tools > Options > Media Network.

Thanks. Not sure what I should be looking for. This is what it currently looks like

Looking at the BD player manual it seems to support m4v with MPEG4, AVC or H.264. There are several options for the last one but I've tried all of them without success.
