Converting files

I have two converting suggestions for a future version:
If I am using the MC converting files tool and want to convert a mph file into FLAC or WAVE/AIFF I always get a warning message. I know that such a conversion doesn't improve the sound but to edit or improve such files I have to convert them into a lossless format. It would be helpful if every user could turn off the notification if he wants to do.

When I am converting a one channel mono file from mp3 to FLAC or WAVE/AIFF I get a two channel file. There is of course a setting for a one channel conversion. But it would be useful if there would be a setting, also,  that would leave the format as it was when it was entered (sample rate, bit rate, channels).
