I've got user/password authentication configured on my MC Server. When I connect with a client on another PC in my home network I never get a prompt to enter authentication. It does connect but when I make changes and then try a manual resync I get an error that says to configure authentication on the Server.

When and how are the authentication values enter into the client to make the connection?

Found the solution.

On the server I had to disable Read-Only Authentication, it was set for Everyone. Now when I add a library on the client it will prompt me for the server's authentication.
