Adding USB media to Id and sharing playlists with windows
« on: December 05, 2020, 08:25:16 pm »

Okay, so I am underway with the Id and I added an external usb drive with 1.2TB music files.

Using menu item 20 I enabled USB read/write and rebooted.

My usb drive is seen under menu item 20 and has been named by the id as ,  /media/[label]/music where [label] is the name the drive was given in Windows and "music" is the music directory in windows. I didn't have to "mount" anything, it just happened (am I missing something?).

Under auto-import configurations I can browse to /media/[label]/music and add it to MC's "watch" list for import into Library. It appears I can edit the name of  [/media/[label]/music]

Q1 is adding or deleting files to the usb drive done in Windows or can this be done inside Linux/MC?

Q2 I want to share (export/import?) playlists between Windows MC and Id MC, can this be done?
Note, the path to my Windows folder is A:\Music\    where A is obviously the Drive letter of the mounted drive

TIA
