Cloudplay playlists inaccessability
« on: December 01, 2020, 09:15:04 am »

I am a long term JR MC user but new to Cloudplay (and the forum).  On MC27 I have put up three Christmas playlists and it's nice to see them up there with the lots of other playlists.  However I cannot access the other playlists as I can see no 'Play' button.

When I use the link in the email confirming my uploaded playlists I got a message that Firefox (and otherbrowsers I tried) "could not connect to the server under localhost: 52199".

I've been at this for three weeks now and, despite a number of attempts to post something on these lines I, have not had a response!

If anyone out there could give me a starting point (or better an answer) I would be very grateful.

Many thanks

The first link for each playlist is broken.  We'll investigate.

The second link works.  Copy it and paste it into MC >  File > Open URL

Your screen may not show the icons on the right.  Try ctrl-plus and minus (+ -) to resize your fonts.

Play from a browser does not work.   Play from MC > Playlists > Cloudplay.

Many thanks for your response!

As you say the second link worked.  Thanks again.

I also followed your advice to get the "icons" and got up the menu button (no other button).

Unfortunately I still haven't worked out how to listen to any other playlist.  I can see them and list the contents but I get no further.  I haven't found a simple guide to playing music from a specific playlist.

Sorry to be so dense but can you point me in the right direction?

You should be seeing the attached view with the yellow highlighted areas being the buttons to play your playlists.

Thanks BigSpider.

I have the view but no yellow highlighted areas. You seem to have a good number of interesting Playlists.  Assuming others (me) are able to access them, how do I go about trying out some of your music?

Your screen may not show the icons on the right.  Try ctrl-plus and minus (+ -) to resize your fonts.  You should see the font size change.

If you have a touch screen, you can touch and pinch/spread two fingers to change.

On the left side of your screen there are two arrows next to the Cloudplay users.  Click on one of those or toggle the tree.

I believe you may see the "love", "Play" and "download" icons if you do that.

In tools>options>tree&view which browser engine are you using? Try switching to the alternative and restart JRiver MC and see if it makes any difference.

Gentlemen (and Ladies?)  You done it collectively.

I have access to Playlists and you have opened up a whole new world for me.

No doubt as I explore it I will uncover problems.  I will try not to trouble you unless I get desperate.

Many thanks for your help!!!

Dawgincontrol's "On the left side of your screen there are two arrows next to the Cloudplay users.  Click on one of those"

That was, of course, after one or two steps from others eg to get the menu button up.  In the end it was so simple I am embarrassed(but grateful).
