Adding bookmarks/chapters
« on: January 11, 2021, 01:09:34 pm »

Hi,

Is there any way of adding bookmarks or chapters to a video file in MC? I know about the bookmark tag that plays from the last location, but I'd like to add some bookmarks/chapters to some instruction videos. I'm guessing I have to use an external program like MKVToolnix, just wondering if MC has such a function (or if no, can it be added?).

You could use Particles (google jriver particles) to achieve a similar effect, but if it were me I would use mkvtoolnixgui to create chapters.  Particles create virtual clips that appear in the interface as separate videos.

Okay, thanks. That's what I thought.

Any chance an extended bookmarks feature could be added to MC? Allowing us to create chapters stored in tags?
