Mac function keys become inactive while MC is running
(1/1)
m@Xist:
Good day everybody and happy new year!
The first Mac is an old MacBook Pro running MC as lib server. The 2nd is an iMac running MC as client.
So I had updated to version 27.0.35 on both Macs and both since show the phenomenon that while MC is running, the Mac function keys such as F1/F2 for brightness down/up, etc. are no longer working.
Immediately after closing MC, the function keys are working well and they keep working after restarting MC BUT not yet interacting with it; once I do some playback by e.g. pressing F8 for PLAY, or other sorts of interactions, the other Mac function keys do no longer work.
I can definitely say that this behaviour was not present before upgrading to version 27.x.
Quick fix is appreciated, thanks.

To check whether it's already been fixed, you might give 27.0.44 a try that's available here: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,127944.0.html
Otherwise, I seem to recall somebody else reporting the same thing so it might be a known issue, Bob would likely know for sure.

Hi, I just went through some of my ordeals. Meanwhile, MC – in my case – is on 27.0.89 on macOS Mojave 10.14.6, and the issue persists.
Awesome Donkey:
At this point, you should probably try Media Center 28 as there have been changes to the media/function keys support during the development cycle.
