Ubuntu install donīt working
Magellan:
I installed MC 26 yesterday on a Linux-Ubuntu 20.04 LTS box.
I connected MC to my NAS, where my music is located. I added the music to the MC library and everything initially worked as expected. But I also have an UpNp streamer in another room, and I stream music to this streamer. This also worked initially, but after a while it locked. After that, nothing has worked. MC does not find the music on my NAS. MC freezes and locks etc. I tried to connect my backup of my music archive, which I have on a USB disk, and connected the disk to the computer with MC. I made a new library in MC, and everything initially worked as it should, but after a while the exact same problem arose again. It seems that MC freezes, i.e. or locks. It is not even possible to turn off MC, i.e. to close it down. It is also very tough or jerky to try to move the MC-window on the desktop. Someone who can help me, who knows what is wrong?
Wheaten:
When MC freezes, is the mount still active?
Magellan:
Yes. I have no music files on the computers disc. All music is on the NAS, or on a USB disc.
Magellan:
I can add that MC overall is slow and jerky. If it has not frozen, it will still take several seconds after I click to close it as it actually shuts down. Same when I stop the music. There is a poor response in the program. Moving the MC-window is also unresponsive.
Wheaten:
Are you using the system headless, regarding the slow response?
Are the logs giving you any additional information?
