Ok, this is a new one for me and never happened before. I am currently encoding my BluRay collection and just did Sherlock Holmes and Sherlock Holmes A Game of Shadows.

Now, Get Movie info on the first movie works fine with results from tmdb, even shows the second movie in the tmdb result list !

now, for game of shadows it just refuses to show results for anything beside wikipedia, heck, if I manually search for Sherlock Holmes in that search (like the previous search on icon for the first movie) it only shows wikipedia, no tmdb. I see no differences in tags, both are tagged movies.

I tried deleting it from library and letting it import again, no go.

No clue how to fix or even workaround this.

Make sure [Media Type] is set to "Video" and [Media Sub Type] is set to "Movie".
You can also try setting [IMDb ID] field to "tt1515091".

Both movies are tagged Video and Movie, they are both automatically sorted into the Movie view on import, too, so MC seems to recognize both correctly.

Weird. I can reproduce that (only Wikipedia results) if I set the Subtype to TVShow. Otherwise, TMDB always shows up.
Try settings the [IMDb ID] field as MC uses it to query TMDB too.

Ok, setting the imdb id manually worked. That's a workaround I can live with.

I'll have a couple hundred movies to go, will update if it happens again.

I created this tool just to help get Movie metadata

It gets some things that MC doesn't (like IMDB rating) and makes it easy to update many movies in one go.

That sounds very interesting and seems like it would eliminate some annoyances I have with the MC get movie info functionality, I'll check it out. thanks again
