I hope this isn't too off-topic to ask here, but since moving to mac I've noticed the stop button on my keyboard isn't doing anything anymore. Is stop removed alltogether by apple, and if so, is there a way to add a custom global button to stop playback in jriver, even when the window isn't focused?

Just looked at the configuration settings of the touchbar (Big Sure), but indeed no stop present.
