JRiver Media Center for Windows 10 on ARM64

(1/2) > >>

Hanson:
Hi there

Are you guys planning on publishing a version of JRiver Media Center that runs natively on Windows 10 on ARM64? I've been using JRiver Media Center since 2004 and I would be more than happy to run it on our Surface Pro Xs. (I'm aware that there's emulation for the 32-bit version and even emulation coming up for 64-bit. But this is not what I'm looking for - it makes no sense to use Windows on ARM64 and run emulation.)

Kind regards, Marco

Hendrik:
There are no immediate plans for that right now, but we are monitoring the development of Windows ARM devices closely to plan for the future.

Not at this time.

There are rumors that Microsoft will follow Apple with their M processor, so likely ARM is the way to go, but indeed I would give it another year or so.
What is the effort of porting JRiver to ARM?

JimH:
We already run on ARM.

Raspberry Pi
Apple M1 CPU

Look at the installation threads on the MC27 board:

We just can't support every platform.
