Is it possible to open and import files with a .RAR extension into MC? If I right-click the file, I do get the option to 'open with MC 27' but it doesn't seem to open (and no way to choose .RAR in File Types I think). Thanks

RAR is an archive, similar to ZIP. It may contain any file (or thousands of files) inside it, of any file type.
You need to extract the archive contents to a folder an import that instead. WinRAR or 7Zip can do that.
