Feature Request: Better Support for Classical Music

<< < (2/15) > >>

newsposter:
after pulling in nearly 200 classical music CDs the past couple of weeks, I too would like to see enhanced support for cataloging classical music, in particular the complex notation used by prolific symphony composers......

If you can agree on 3 or 4 simple changes that might help, and there are no significant objections, we will make them.

Please write it up in a brief statement of less than 100 words, and work on it until there is agreement.

I suggest you elect a chair first, and at some point, get buy-in from users on other forums.

Thanks, but the enhancements needed aren't "simple".  You can't always make significant advancements just by doing simple easy things.

I'm not a big collector of Classical music, but I have to agree that some improvement in native support for Classical would be very good. A documented standardised approach that everyone could use as a starting point for their library, which may become the default for most users, would be brilliant.

A kludge using simple tweaks would fail to gain support. Classical needs a logical approach.

The suggestions seem like a good starting point. Gain consensus and push for the improvements Will.

OK.  You're the chair.  Do your best.
