JRiver remote access
« on: April 12, 2021, 12:54:18 pm »

Hi,

I use JRiver in country B. where my server is situated. In country S. I connect the (local) JRiver to see my playlists and listen to my music. Everything works fine. However, in country S. I don't see my local network renderers. Which means I can only listen to my music on the computer, but cannot stream to my local (country S.) device. I only see in country S. the renderers from my network in Country B. (which is useless).
What settings in JRiver Country S. should I change ? Thanks for your help.

For starters, on your Id in country S in
Tools->Options->Media Network->Client Options there is an option to see the renderers on the server side which is on by default. You can turn that off.
Now other renderers on your network in country S should just appear.
Since you don't see them you should check in the same Media Network options to see if under Advanced, all 3 options (server, controller and renderer) are enabled.
If they are and you still don't see the renderers I'm guessing your Id in country S is on a different network than your renderers (for example a VPN).
