Indeed they seem to lighten the requirement for 4K. No more HDCP 2.2 requirement or Intel CPU or Nvidia GPU only? That is actually great to hear.

If you already invest into streaming, why not to think about re-routing audio/video via JRiver?
This WDM thing while mostly works, in reality not so practical if you have multiple sources like, say, Spotify, TuneIn, and Netflix. And JRiver.
Audio I would prefer wire directly to Dirac virtual sound device
But IF I already launched JRiver, I want to play the content without bothering what is my current output device.

Because you get no access to such things.
