removing downloaded artist images

In the artist view of my library, I began having MC download artist images for the grid view. It was a mistake, many of the images were poor and had no aspect ratio.

I want to remove them. However, MC only offers an option to 'remove art.' Doing this removes the art I had already embedded in my files, leaving them blank. Yet, in the 'artist' view, there still remains the artist images I want to remove.

How do I, in bulk, remove downloaded artist images? Ideally while keeping the album art I have already embedded.
