iMac User with Meridian Sooloos audio library.

Hello,
     This is my first post.  I'm an iMac user using OS 11.3.1.  I also have a Meridian 218 zone controller, which I used along with a Qnap TS-453A NAS, to stream music from a Meridian Sooloos audio library.  Recently, Meridian stopped upgrading Sooloos to accommodate changes by Apple, and now I have a newer computer with OS 11.3.1 that will not work with Sooloos.  My question is, if I purchase the JRiver app, will I be able to seamlessly stream music from my Sooloos audio library?
     A local audiophile store has advised me to switch to Roon, but that would cost me about $3000, which includes new equipment, just to get started.  I simply don't have the funds for this right now. 
     So, would JRiver meet my needs?  Any advice would be hugely appreciated.
