Not sure why this isn't working, since the send command fails quickly, it looks like the renderer doesn't like something about the mimetype perhaps.
Do you have something with a different format you could try playing? This one is h.265 video, perhaps something with h.264 just to test?
I assume your MC DLNA server video settings is "Original format"??
Thanks.
avinius:
Hi, I have also tried with h264 movies, but it still doesn't work.
I confirm that the video setting is "original format".
The settings are like the ones I use in version 27.0.39.
I can't figure out what could have changed in later versions that it can't work anymore.

It certainly a mystery considering you having the same server settings.
Would you be up for using wireshark to do a detailed trace of the session?
One with 27.0.39 the other with MC28 so we can compare the results?
You would install wireshark on your Mac
Setup a capture filter based on your renderer IP (ip host 1.2.3.4) where you replace 1.2.3.4 with your renderers IP address.
Get a movie ready to play in MC
Start the capture and then end it as soon as the playback fails.
Save the capture file and email it to me?
avinius:
Hi, I installed wireshark, and after a few crashes, the application seems stable.
I did the recording first with media center 27.0.39, then with the latest version of media center 28.
Attached to the email, you will find the file logs.
I hope it will be useful to you.
Also, for your information, I installed media center 28 on a pc with windows 10 and it doesn't work anyway. It only works with version 27.0.40, I don't remember exactly.
I guess you can rule out my iMac and the other pc. I haven't tried with another renderer, I used to use the apple tv 4K before, but that doesn't count because I didn't watch movies with jriver media center.
Greetings,
Massimiliano Avinio
