Hi

I just anaylsed for calibration EBU R128 Test files with MC27.00.85 (32Bit, PC)

Now I looked at 1kHz sine -20dB LUFS, 1kHz sine -26dB LUFS, 1kHz sine -40dB LUFS
Thes show the correct volume level (-3dB, +3dB, +17dB)

Now there is a 500Hz-2kHz Pink-noise file, this one:
EBU-reference_listening_signal_pinknoise_500Hz_2kHz_R128.wav

This is according to EBU a -23dB LUFS file.

On JRiver it says: Volume Level -3dB, this means Jrive analyzed it as -20dBLUFS instead of -23dBLUFS.

I did the test of all 4 files with Soundgforge Pro 11.0. Result: same as EBU, i.e. testfile shows as -23dBLUFS.

Is the calculation of JRiver in case of noise wrong?

Here the Links to EBU and the testfiles (free to download, testfiles as well as standard.)
