Unable to point to external disk

Am running on MAC OS with Windows on PARALLEL.
As seen on the attached pic. the 2 drives are different ie. one is "U" and the other is " Y"
Sometimes JRiver can read the external drive and sometimes cannot?
How to change so that it reflects the same drive?
