Often when I'm trying to resolve library problems from a library backup, some or all of my files will have moved in the interim. In these cases I restore the library and then use the RM&C "Update Database" option to point MC at the correct file locations. However, if you have Auto-Import enabled, as soon as the library is restored it starts adding and removing (if "fix broken links" is enabled) files from the library, which inevitably wreaks havoc on the "Date Imported" field, among other things. It would be great if there was a way to disable Auto-Import from the library restore dialog so users could use RM&C to point MC at the correct file locations before it tries to resolve them automatically. It might even be smarter to "Temporarily disable Auto-Import", i.e. until the next program restart or until the user invokes an auto-import manually.
