How to remove old version and delete repository for update?
(1/1)
vcastceo:
Hi all, I am using MC27 for Raspberry Pi4 and it is registered on repository for easy install patchs using atp-get upgrade command.
I would like to install MC28 now, I can follow instructions, but I want remove MC27 and it's repository. How can I do that?
Sorry I am not that long time user for linux. Windows is easy but linux is not that easy ;D
vcastceo:
I did research myself and find a way to complete remove old version itself and repository.
1. Backup your library and setup.
2. on terminal, sudo apt remove mediacenter27
3. delete mediacenter27 repository file:
sudo rm /etc/apt/source.list.d/mediacenter27.list
After that, you can clean install MC28 as insturcted on this forum.
Restore from backup - Library and configuration.
Thanks!

When you are certain that your MC28 is working the way you wish you can also remove the MC27 user data (library, thumbs, etc).
It's in
~/.jriver/Media\ Center\ 27
