JRiver Media Center 28.0.48 for Mac Silicon/Intel Universal build
ThierryNK:
Hi
Langage is french
I was using MC27 and updated to MC28 on july 23
Everything was fine until a few days ago.
My audio library contains 55428 tracks
For your question about separator in dates, I am not sure to understand... In the track view, if I add "import date" in the view, dates are dd/mm/yyyy h:mm (this ins MC27 that I currently use, I have deleted MC28)
I did not notice any pattern between audio analysis and imported files. On a "good" library, I was importing about 30 tracks, then the import dates were fully messed up (with current date for several years old imported tracks) and there were about 500 files for audio analysis.
OSX 11.2.3
Mac Mini end 2014
If needed I can install again MC28 at the same time of MC27 and get your more information.
Regards
Thierry

Thanks for the excellent details!
One more question for now, when you installed MC28 did you restore from a MC27 library backup OR re-import all of your files?
ThierryNK:
When I install a new version of JRiver, I always import from previous library backups, as keeping import dates is very convenient for me.
Other information: after installing and using MC28, I have imported some tracks some days later, and no problem at all. The issues I get appeared recently, but I am not able to tell since which version.

There was a change in 28.0.32:
1. Fixed: Date format wasn't working in some non-US locales.
That seems the most likely however it mostly involved the separators between the day, month and year and calculating whether the month or day should go first. That doesn't seem to be very related to the issue you are seeing.
I'll check with the rest of the team on possibilities.
Were the imports with date and audio analysis issues the same file format? (flac, alac, m4a, etc)?
Thanks!
