'Stop After Playing Track' is the 'Stop after...'- feature that is found under 'More Playing Options' in the right-click contextual menu.

i use this a lot and it has worked flawlessly up until pretty recently (could be since i switched to v28 from v26, not sure).

Using it on the track after currently playing track never works now.
Using it on the second, third etc... track after currently playing track sometimes work, but mostly not.

I have no issues with 'Stop After Current File', that one still works fine.

Anyone else?

I just set the number to 2 and it played two tracks and stopped.

Any more details about your setup?

I'm playing local files (APE and MP3).

What number doesn't work?

I believe you tested the wrong 'Stop After...' feature, Matt.  The one I am talking about is called simply 'Stop After Playing Track' and can only be found by right clicking any file in the playlist and in the right-click menu go to 'More Play Options' and then to 'Stop After Playing Track' (at the bottom of the list).

'Stop After Playing Track' is not available in the Player/More Stop menu.

I have actually never used 'Stop After Playing [number] Tracks', but I am sure it works properly. 'Stop After Playing Track', though...

Alright, I tried right-click > More Play Options > Stop After Playing Track.

That also works.

Negosonic - why not make life a bit easier and add the "Stop After Current File" button to the toolbar

does it not happen when you select 10 files in playback and use the "stop after playing track" on the second track, so not on the one playing. it does not stop for me then, when i just tried.

I picked stop after a coming file and it worked fine.  Is that what isn't working for other folks?  Thanks.

I have. It works great. But this thread is not about 'Stop After Current File'

I did some more tests on one album (mp3 320kbs):

playing track #1
select track#2 - it stopped after #2

playing #3
select #5 - it stopped after #5

playing #6
select #7 - no stop

playing #8
select #10 - no stop

playing #11
select #12 - no stop

playing #1 again
select #2 again - stopped after #2 again

playing #8 again
select #9 - no stop

Keep in mind it won't stop on a manual track change.  You have to let the engine reach the end of the file naturally.

The only other thing that will reset it is stopping playback.  You need to keep continuous playback for it to stop.
