madVR question

(1/2) > >>

Dillon:
Does anyone know how to enable dynamic tone mapping in madvr?  I'm limited to setting nits at 100 I need to get down to 60 or so

And importing files sometimes gives file names that are contained the mkv. I want to import the files as they are named in the hard drives.
Thanks! 1

see above

As for importing ... MC checks internal file tags first and use it ... if no internal tags, then MC uses file names.

For example MakeMKV will set mkv internal flags according to disc label ... so it could be "FROZEN_3D" ... and that would be used for movie name ... ofcourse you can tell MakeMKV correct tag or not put tag at all, but most ppl dont care ... then realize its a small problem later :)

Dillon:
So I'm still not sure what to do here I have 1000s
Of files that won't get recognized by the movie database because of the file names is there any easy way to get the file names back to normal

JimH:
Read the wiki about tagging and the Library Tools.  You can use Library Tools to fill the properties of the file from the files themselves.  Experiment with a few first.

Dillon:
This should be a lot easier.... All I needed to do was a simple import in kodi. This is the only thing right now  keeping me from buying this
