.LSE files - Anyone?
« on: March 31, 2003, 12:52:00 am »

Hey all,
// Boring Bit.....
my Nokia mp3 player is VERY annoying.
The player itself is ok except for the fact that it only reads files in the .lse format and so wants to encode ALL my music to .lse (DRM format - basically just add's a secure header to any format).
Anyway, the software it provides is useless and I've tried by passing it by using a card reader so I could access the drive directly through windows with no luck. The software they provide formats the card in a way windows cant read.
My mp3 Player supports .aac files which I've played with and can get TINY file sizes with. The only problem is that the software wont recognise aac files. According to the helpdesk it only recognises .aac files if they're already converted to .lse so I cant use any of my own .aac files, I can only use ones I download with the DRM header already attached.
...// End of boring bit

Does anyone know of ANY software, anything that will convert files to .lse and add the DRM header so that I can use my own .aac files in my player.

Thanks
