Custom Keyboard Shortcuts

(1/1)

HaWi:
Is there a way to add custom keyboard shortcuts for certain actions?
For example, I am updating my Cover Art for a lot of albums and it would be great to have a keyboard shortcut to "Add from File" and "Rebuild Thumbnail" in Cover Art
Many thanks
Hans

This should be possible.  I've added a half dozen custom keyboard shortcuts to my MC system.  Here's the wiki article on how to do it:

https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/User_Defined_Global_Keyboard_Shortcuts

There are examples in the file that's linked in that article.  What you need to run commands is the MCC number of the "core command" that does what you want.  Luckily there are quite a few MCC commands for cover art.   In this document, you'll find a full list of all MCC commands.  The cover art commands seem to start at 23036 (MCC commands are all numbered).

Each time you change the file (Resource.xml), you need to restart MC for it to take effect.

Good luck!
Brian.

In case this helps you at all, here's an ancient post I made showing some of my keyboard shortcuts:

Thank you so much, Brian
I really appreciate your help

EDIT: Just gave it a spin and it works beautifully. This is brilliant! Thank you again so much.
