Software Help Needed
(1/1)
hulkss:
The Mac version of Media Center is working great on my M1 Mac.
I use a number of audio plugins in the audio path outside of Media Center with other host programs.
There is a great performing zero latency multi-channel convolver that must run under Rosetta to apply room correction FIR filters.
It would be fantastic if someone could recompile it to run native on Apple Silicon.
I received the message below after contacting the author/developer:http://www.angelofarina.it/X-MCFX.htm
This is open source, so, you can easily recompile it for the Mac-M1.
Here the Github repository for the source code:https://github.com/JB-Luke/X-MCFX/tree/develop
If you manage to do that, please send me the new version of the plugins compiled for the M1, so I can make them available to the community.
Bye
Angelo
I will gladly help with testing of the recompiled version and provide tips and guidance for developing FIR audio filters for loudspeaker/room correction and digital crossovers.
Brad
Awesome Donkey:
It rarely is as simple as just recompiling it (for Apple Silicon/ARM in this case). It (and its external libraries) may need support for ARM in general first and the cmake configuration updated for building on Apple Silicon/ARM, not sure.

I assumed it could be somewhat of a challenge, except possibly for those very familiar with the process.
