Added feature to music analysis
« on: December 13, 2021, 10:24:00 pm »

Has there ever been any discussion about adding in a 'key determination' feature in the audio analysis area? I've played with Android apps that do this (presumably in the frequency domain after an FFT of the song). As a musician (not having perfect pitch), I always want to know what key signature a song is in. Since this might be processing intensive, it could be a user-selectable option. Maybe there are already 3rd-party tools out there that could integrate in MC to accomplish this. I'm still on an older version, and would be glad to upgrade for such capabilities. Thanks for listening!

If such a thing is considered and added, please make it optional like the waveform and HDCD. Honestly I don't want to have to go through my imports removing a new tag created by audio analysis, like I still have to do right now with audio CRCs.
