Video & Audio Syncing Problems When Using External DAC?
« on: January 11, 2022, 07:03:11 pm »

I want JRiver to output the decoded DTS MA from an AnyDVD HD decrypted BDMV to an Exasound multichannel DAC via USB, while to via gets sent to my TV via my pc's HDMI output. But will there be audio and video syncing problems? And if so how do I correct them?

Thanks so much for this! I'm also hoping there won't be any CP conflicts with 2022 top model OLED TVs. Though AnyDVD HD will decrypt the BD will the OLED TV's HDMI input be expecting an HDCP handshake which it may not then get (as it would otherwise from my Oppo BD player) and therefore reject the video signal?

Finally, please see this post. https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,131714.msg913123.html#msg913123
I PMed Matt Ashland about this via audiophilestyle.com when he recently posted there, who said to post my request here. I've been hoping developers will take an interest in adding or debugging slow motion but so far no replies. If you know of any who might please send them the link. Thanks!

It will be fine.  HDCP is only required for encrypted content (which MC can not play).  Once decrypted with AnyDVD HD etc it will play without issue from MC.
