big clue for any reports of crashes
« on: January 24, 2022, 01:21:17 pm »

I have been pushing MC hard (now over 400,000 files) every day for over a month and it has been perfectly stable.

Today I upgraded my router firmware and so my internet was down for a few minutes.  I kept using MC during this period. I tagged some MP3s without problem. However when I tried to play one of the just tagged MP3s MC crashed without warning. Then I restarted MC and it froze so I force terminated it and waited for my router to get back online.

After the internet was functioning again I started MC and played the same MP3 without problem.  I did an integrity check on my database and it survived the crash, except for the few tag edits I made just before playing the MP3 that caused the crash.

When investigating crash reports I suggest you try replication with no internet connection.

Upon reflection the above is probably more accurate if "internet connection" is replaced with "network connection".
