More control for subtitle shifting?
« on: January 27, 2022, 02:01:17 pm »

Is it possible to add more granularity to the subtitle shifting option? I am watching “The Captain” on a 2.4:1 aspect ratio screen with the image filling the entire screen. If I choose 10% the text is almost completely off the bottom of the screen. If I choose 15%, the text is about 1 foot higher on the screen which seems like a lot more than a 5% change. Perhaps I don’t understand the percentage shift being done.

It would be really nice to have a slider or user selectable value to optimize the positioning based on personal preference. With the current movie, I think a value of 12% would place the text in my preferred location.

Also is it possible to select a default shift for all subtitles so that I don’t have to change it from zero for each new film?
