Acquire from Digital Camera
« on: March 21, 2003, 07:31:30 pm »

The Version .133 of MC doesn't recognize my digital camera (a Kodak DX4330), even though it shows up in Explorer as a removable drive.  Any idea how to fix this problem?

This is how I import from my digital camera:

I import all media on drive I: -- this is the drive that my camera appears as.

Then I rename all the files in recently imported so that the files are moved to my HDD.

I don't like this way because I group my photos as follows:

My Pics\Camera\2003\03-Mar\*.jpg

There is no way for MC to automatically create this directory structure. I am busy writing a simple VB app to automatically download and create this structure for me. Then all Mc has to do is import from it's default location.

Incidentally, the "03-Mar" is generated by the VB Format rule "mm-mmm" rather than "dd-mmm".

I have the month number there just so that windows will sort my months in the correct order!
