Question about JRiver MC on Windows PC to DAC via network bridge

(1/2) > >>

Steviewunda:
I am currently using JRiver MC on a Windows10 PC to play FLAC music files stored on a separate unRaid media server. I am using DLNA/UPNP to play these files through a networked Allo Usbridge Signature network bridge, which feeds a DAC, amp, and speakers. Is there an alternative to DLNA connection to the Allo USbridge device, whereby I would be able to use all MC's processing capabilities?

Steviewunda:
Bump - anybody?

Steviewunda:
Very disappointing not to get a reply to this question which I first asked on January 26. Because I asked at the tail-end of a different topic, I set up this dedicated thread - but still no response. If there is no alternative it would not take long to say so - if there are alternatives it would not take long to state them.

JimH:
Your best connection would directly to the DAC.

If you use DLNA, check the server settings to make sure you're playing "original" not converted.

If you want to use DSP, try a search for DSP over DLNA.

Steviewunda:
Thank you  :)
