Is it possible to have MC28 feeding a DAW? How to make it?
« on: February 18, 2022, 02:42:16 am »

Hello, I am in big trouble (not satisfied) with the DSP Studio Parametric EQ feature(s) and I would like to simply rely on my preferred external DAW (Cantabile).

However, I have not understood / I do not know, how to have MC28 feeding a DAW running on the same PC.

My DAW is Cantabile that can handle one audio driver/subsystem at a time. So, if it is associated with the DAC ASIO it can handle only audio I/O belonging to the DAC, thereof I cannot get as input the MC28 output.
If I select the MC28 ASIO driver, then I have not understood how to have Cantabile DAW driving the ASIO outputs as needed.

Anyone around having knowledge and expertise on that?

Thanks and regards,
Andrea

Hi Adrea

JRiver DSP does support VST. Maybee you do not need your Daw. Lookup "DSP" in JRiver Wiki.

Hello sacduser, have you ever tested it? MC28 support for 3rd party VST is limited and there are bugs I have already reported...

Hello Andrea

I have used Parametric Equalizer and 3 to 4 VSTs with same function, all with OK results. Think VSTs control their own configuration themselves. Think quality of VSTS can be a problem.
