The best way to find out if a reported issue is fixed or not is to try MC28 in its trial mode and see if they still happens.

Quite strange position.
Developer should track bugs in a database.
Moreover this is not a free of charge product...

I don't think anything has changed regarding NAS disks spinning or sleeping NAS.

In my setup I have stored music locally and videos and other bigger or seldom needed files on NAS running SnapRaid. MC is regularly hanging when browsing library files located in NAS eg. pressing right over item or exiting theaterview or just entering view which has files in NAS (NAS is sleeping and I don't need the actual files). I guess MC is issuing OS request for the file even though there seem to be no apparent reason for user to do it.

Anyway inside TheaterView hanging is not so regular now that I have all the cover art for everything saved locally. Still quite annoying especially in standard view and I hope that something could be done to these "unnecessary" file accesses.

E: Could be interesting to open library on linux machine to see if it has same behaviour

As I already said in the past, even if the storage\NAS and/or the network is very very slow, it is a non sense to see a program hanging, not responding, mess the screen, etc. this is something that needs to be managed in the proper way.
As i said, if I load 5 years of purchase requests at work on SAP... it takes minutes and during this time windows the PC does not become a mess.

Then I suppose nobody on developer side fixed this bug.

It was not my intention to spend time to do this check, but, since I can not go to work because I am positive to the CoViD since saturday, I did this test.

The answer is NO... MC28 has the same bugs as the old MC23, MC24, MC25 (did not tested 26 and 27).

bye
