MC29 and iPod Nano 7g: compatibe or not?
« on: March 14, 2022, 06:58:51 am »

On my Windows 10 PC I have JRiver Music Centre 29.

I have two iPod Nano 7th generation devices, model number A1446.

I would like to be able to copy MP3 music files to the Nanos using MC29 such that they show up on the Music list and are playable on the devices.

However, neither of the devices shows up in MC29. They both show up in iTunes (which I don't really want to use), but not in MC29.

I also have two iPod Nano 3rd Generation devices, model number A1236, and MC29 works perfectly well with those. They show up under "Drives and Devices", and them usic on them is listed, and I can transfer more music to them, no problem.

So why can't MC29 work with my 7th generation iPod Nanos? Am I missing a driver, or what?

Any help appreciated!

I understand that this forum is the preferred, indeed only, way to get technical support from JRiver. But does anyone from JRiver actually read this forum? I asked over two weeks ago about MC29 functionality with Ipod Nano 7th generation, but not a hint of an answer. Is there a different way to get support? Have I posted in the wrong section? The silence is deafening!
