still on this lyrics thing
« on: January 06, 2003, 09:06:19 pm »

Reading your file      ***comparison.html I see version 9 has a file tagging studio and further down there is a flexible database allowing unlimited new fields to be added.
Does this mean that we may be able to link lyrics to a particular track and automatically print out the lyrics for all tracks on a CD the same way as cd labeller lists all the tracks on the label?

MJ9 uses the ID3v2 tag to save Lyrics to.

It does not have a print option, but you can view the lyrics if you go to the lyrics field in properties and press edit.

I don't think Lyrics can be printed on any of the Stock Crystal Case lables. And if you have maybe 150 Mp3's i don't think you coould read it if it did.

the lyrics can then be copied to the clip board.

i think some of the templates also support lyrics

I will be adding Lyrics to my MJ\MC Plugin (Chart Finder) so that users can add Lyrics to there files by just scanning them.

If you have any ideas, maybe i can add them or think about them a bit to see what i can do if it is possable to do as a plug-in using the MJ\MC SDK

what are you wanting to do

I make playlists of about 8 to 10 songs which I then burn onto a cd.
We use this as accompaniment to community singing in our church.
When I print out the Cd Label using cd labeller I can print a label which has all the track names. Now I was wondering if there is a way in which I could use a similar ( As yet not found !!) program to print out all the appropriate lyrics so that I basically then have a song book to go with the lyrics.
As it is I do the CD first ,burn it and print the CD Label.
then I  use ms word to compile a file of all the lyrics ( The lyrics have previously been typed into a seperate subdirectory) and I then print this out as a song book for the singers.
IT would be great if I could link the track to the appropriate .doc file so that at a press of a buttom I could print out the lyrics in the correct sequence.

It would be nice but

Your like One (1) in a million (besides me) that would even care about this or who would take the time.

It would be nice if all this was automated (getting, saving, printing) lyrics, but it's not. and then ere is copywrite issues.

I think J River would rather spend there time on Options that more users would care about (more bang for the buck).

I don't even think Microsoft has been even looking into this area. I did load up there new media Player (Basic Version) that does little more than play music.

But i for one like your Idea.
