It would also be nice if Audio Path could show the format of the original audio stream (like AC3, DTS, TrueHD, DTS-MA, Dolby Atmos...)

It already does that to a degree

Huh, it does indeed! Thanks for the hint - never noticed it before, apparently :-)

I do check the signal mostly in DSP Studio since I can fire it up via shortcut Ctrl-D (no shortcut to Audio Path, right?) and there MC unfortunately does not show the source format (unless I am mistaken again)
