3D for tvs, and for non 3D capable ?
Ekpen:
Hello TEAM JRiver!
I am happy to read about the good stuff coming our way.
Thanks to ALL that make this possible.
I have a few request.
My 3D library is about 150.
l hate to discard the mkvs.
Anyway to have 3D playback capability via the new JRVR renderer ?
I have old Sony Bravia tvs that can handle 3D, and 3 Bravia tvs with no built in 3D.
i was hoping with my Nvidia rtx 2080ti, driver 510 xx, I should be able to use checkerboard 3D to enable the Bravias that do not have 3D built in.
Of recent, I just started editing the X11.conf file.
I hope MC 29 xxx, will make the 3D feature possible
JH NOTE:
Keep the hope alive.!!
When the workload is less, we hope you will let us have a good Android tv gui that will let us enjoy MC 29 xx and higher versions
To be honest, a JRemote2 android tv gui or similar app, is needed.
JRemote2 is the Rolls Royce of all remotes.
Thanks again.
George Omoregie.
Hendrik:
We don't currently plan support for 3D playback in JRVR, sorry.
You can use madVR on Windows for 3D playback, it is currently the only way.
jmone:
I think ZoneSwitch will be your friend. Tune up madVR for 3D, and use JRVR for everything else.

Hello:
Though I do yearly master license, I have my setup on amd64.
In order for me to migrate to linux, i have to stop using Windows.
So, this means no madvr.
Well, I was hoping MC 29 for those of us fitted with Nvidia gpus, mine rtx 2080ti,with nvlink could benefit from 3D,if MC 29 can use custom X11.conf.
The custom X11.conf can have the ability to enable 3D, and also with this file let non 3D capable tvs use the checkerboard
Can MC29 xxx,trap or use this X11.conf file ?
Lots of features can be enabled or disabled here.
Here, one can enable or disable dual monitor, dual gpus etc.
A look at linux X11.conf file is on hand.
Windows os, and other linux distros have their versions.
Thanks.
George.
Awesome Donkey:
Don't think you'll be able to use 3D at all (if ever) using Media Center on macOS or Linux. Looks like, at least for the time being, it's Windows-only and only with madVR. To be honest, I'd be surprised if that ever changed since 3D is more-or-less dead now - I haven't seen a single brand-new TV released with 3D support in years and Nvidia has dropped support for 3D from their drivers (not sure if AMD still supports it, but I'd assume they'll drop it too if they haven't already).
