2 questions.
I created a smartlist, but whenever I add a new song the list doesn't update. What I'm doing wrong?
How, within a smartlist, to search for a given song?

I think you're mixing up 2 things.
playlist vs smartlist, where the first is a static list to where you can add songs, the 2nd is a dynamical generated list based on rules.

Thanks for the reply but the list I created is a smartlist, not a playlist hence my questions.

My answer will still be the same, a smartlist is based on rules. So you need to add a rule like name is "title". Which would not be a preferred way to do this.
Or you're question is missing some details and I am missing what you actually are asking.
