Update order on playlist does not work?

When rearranging the dragged in songs in the playlist, JRiver does not play the new order. it remembers the order when the songs are dragged in and jumps accordingly. The "update order" button does not work.
Should it work or do I something wrong?

To update you need to have your playlist in sequential order.  Then you should be able to drag them as you like without using update order (at least that's how it works for me).

Just to make sure you don't have your playlist locked, correct?
