When I initially upgraded from Media Center 28 to 29, no information was available for any cd it wanted to burn even though I clicked Update from on-line database. I was told to add Media Center to my firewall as an exemption. That worked.

Now I'm having the same trouble with v29.0.47. I've rebooted, turned off the firewall, deleted the current exemption and added a new one in case something had changed in the Media Center 29 .exe program. I've turned off my firewall's auto-startup and rebooted still no luck. I can't find an URL to the database you use so I can't test by adding that to my vpn too. I don't see anything in my router about blocking traffic.

I've tried searching through the forum but when I do get a hit it's dated 2002. It would be nice if this was cleaned up. Do we really need information that's twenty years old? I digress, I need help with this.

Any ideas?
