Remote Controlling a Client (not Server)
« on: August 26, 2022, 10:16:43 pm »

Hey All.

The issues I am having are about using JRemote with a Client. If I launch JRemote whilst the client is already playing, JRemote would not "see" the song being played or the list of songs in Playing Now. Track progress would loop between 00:00 and 00:05. Only playback control buttons work.

If I play from JRemote on the client zone, then everything works fine, but the client only "sees" the song being played, not the entire list. Sometimes the client would revert playing the songs from JRemote, despite me having changed Playing Now on the client directly.

Is there any setting I need to tweak?  :-\

I only listen to music on the client, and these issues make using JRemote a tad frustrating. Server control works just fine.

I'm not sure... Maybe if you enabled the server options on the client (change the port from the default so as not to clash with the Server MC) and then connect JRemote directly to the client your overall experience might be better?
