kX drivers with asio and cover art spectrum
« on: March 09, 2003, 10:30:08 am »

Just started using the kX drivers for asio support.
Have noticed that the cover art spectrum visualization does not work, nor many of the other visualizations.

Any Ideas.

Strange -- the output plugin shouldn't have anything to do with visualizations. (does it matter if you do or don't use ASIO?)

A uninstall / reinstall of MC may help.

Sorry I don't have a better answer...

This has been a bit funky for me too since installing the kX drivers.  It doesn't appear necessarily to be ASIO...SOmetimes the visuals work sometimes they don't... same with ASIO or Direct Sound.  It is only the spectrum analyser that doesn't work then next time it does... Very strange...

Strange, what is your KX driver version? 3530 ( Beta ) or 3528 ( stable )?

Looks like the click/pop is just on ac3 encoded files with 6ch surround :(

Shame cos this rocks...

It dosn't matter if I use the asio or the wave out, no spectrum analyser vis output.

Tried to play Mp3's Ogg's Ape's and Mpcs using WaveOut, ASIO and direct sound, the only one that shows no spectrum analyser is with ASIO, i can live with that, it's better than not have that at all  ;D

Found the cause of this, if you change the output format to 2 channels in DSP studio it now work the spectrum analizer, only in 4 channels and 5.1 don't work ( In ASIO, Wave Out and DirectSound )
