Customized view for Gizmo, JPanel, etc

I am trying to create a customized view for Gizmo, Panel, etc. I have followed instructions, albeit for Audio, and applied them to a customized Video view. Here is the issue---

I have been able to get a customized view to work ONCE, and I am not sure how that was actually "triggered" in Gizmo. I changed the view in the Media Server, but the customized view persists. So, how exactly is a customized view triggered/changed and accepted in Gizmo? I have tried shutting down the server, closing and restarting Gizmo, and nothing seems to work, except for that ONE time, and I have zero idea how that happened.

I am hoping someone can suggest or enlighten me as to how to get a modified customized view to propagate to Gizmo.
